T-minus 3 days and counting...

Our group leaves Indianapolis at 10am on Friday to drive to Chicago.   From Chicago we fly to Amsterdam and then from Amsterdam to Cape Town, South Africa.  The flights will be a total distance of around 12,400 miles, and will take about 22 hours in the air.    Lots of time for movies and napping :).

Cape Town weather is similar to Indianapolis at this time of year (lows ~50's, high's in the 70's).   Since Cape Town is in the Southern Hemisphere, the Seasons are reversed.  It is currently Springtime in South Africa.   The Time in Cape Town is 6 hours ahead of Indianapolis (i.e. 12:00 noon in Indianapolis is 6:00pm in Cape Town).

Hi Friends,

This is a test of the new Blog spot - Fr. Chris - South Africa.  

On Friday September 30, 2016, myself and about 20 other people will be traveling with the Wabash Pastoral Leadership program on a Study tour of South Africa.    During the trip we will be meeting some of the Christian leaders who played a part in the dismantling of Apartheid.

If I can figure this whole Blog thing out, I will post stories, pictures and videos during the trip.
